A variation is a change to the scope, method or conditions of the work after the contract is signed: a direction from the head contractor, a design change, an unforeseen site condition. Most head contracts give you a short notice period (often 5, 7 or 10 business days) to claim it. Miss the window and the claim can be time-barred. Varipack records who gave the instruction and when, and counts the contract's notice period from that date.
Your contract schedule of rates comes first. Each priced line links back to the rate item it uses. Work with no matching rate falls back to a transparent build-up of labour, plant, materials, overhead and margin. You review and edit the priced draft before anything is submitted.
No. The entitlement check tests the variation against your confirmed contract profile (authority, form of direction, notice timing, valuation method, overhead caps and evidence) and shows what passes, what fails and what is missing. It supports your commercial judgement. It does not replace it, and not every instruction is a valid variation.

Varipack prints a numbered claim and can create a client approval link for that one variation. If the head contractor uses a portal such as Aconex or Procore, Varipack gives you copy-ready fields, priced lines and an upload list, then records the portal's lodgement reference. Varipack does not serve the contractual notice for you.
